We are a couple, Willem and Wendy, married 5 years ago and we decided to work with Medair - after a wonderful God-led journey we came to Southern Sudan; where we work as volunteers as Deputy Base Manager and Communications Manager in Malakal.

It is a very interesting time! We learn so much and there's so much to give. It's amazing what a wonderful people we met and sometimes also people we don't understand at all...

It's a challenge, an adventure, a... there's so much to say; that we cannot capture it in a few words... visit our website to read about our stories (only in Dutch for the time being - but will change soon hopefully!)!

Hopefully the pics on Flickr will also show something more of what we do and the compassion we feel for these people in Southern Sudan; who suffered so incredibly much during the war and now that things are still insecure our prayer is that they can really get new hopes, that they can live a life without war, a life with new chances to build and to develop!
