I work as a data miner ("statistician") by day. I enjoy many forms of art, but most of my own artwork is photography.
Most work on my images recently has been done in PaintShop Photo Pro X3, although I have also used Paint . NET (which is free!), and occasionally MATLAB. On a related note, I am interested in image processing.
I'll spare you the boring list of equipment I use and simply say that I use a single DSLR body with a variety of lenses (some current, some dating back as far as the 1980s). Though I have enjoyed using different lenses, I was recently surprised to realize that photographs taken using my 18-55mm kit lens represent a large fraction of my better work.
