I'm a 37-year-old Marketing and Advertising student, Web Designer and sometime photographer who's alive and awake in Charlottetown, PEI. When I'm bored, I'll make hamburger from sacred cows and demolish bastions of traditional nomenclature.

I've been taking photos since 1985 when my Grandmother Beckett gave me a nifty Argus 110 camera (remember those?) for Christmas. I studied photojournalism during the early-to-mid '90s and upgraded to an ever-heavy, ever-reliable Pentax K1000 SLR. Out of necessity, I also learned the fine art of processing my own photos -- by hand -- in a darkroom, inhaling Kodak D-76 fumes as I worked.

I recently acquired a Canon PowerShot SX 130 IS camera (prior to this, I'd used a Canon PowerShot A410 and an A590). I've not invested in a digital SLR mainly because I prefer the simplicity of a point-and-shoot camera. I'm also really lazy and can't be bothered with switching lenses anymore. Ironically, I've used my point-and-shoots in much the same manner as my old SLR: switching off most of the automatics so I can control nearly everything manually.

I'm a big believer in composing my shots in-camera. Ergo, I should probably point out that very few of my photos have been digitally altered unless otherwise stated.

My pictures have appeared in a soupcon of small print publications, movie posters and various Websites throughout the years.
