I'm new to this; I've only been shooting, I mean REALLY shooting, for about two years. Before that I had four years of slow-going, basic composition rule-of-thirds-type practice. I started with a Nikon Coolpix and I've loved Nikon ever since. For me its about build quality, optics and flexibility - the rest is up to me knowing how to use the tool well. Other than an initial class back in my college days, I'm self taught and I have not settled in to a specific aspect of photography, I'm starting to think I just don't need to - I love it all.

Photography, to me, is about saving an experience as best as I can. Although I like to have the memories later, the fun I have is really about the process of taking a good photo. From all the years I've spent as an artist playing with all the different mediums we artists tend to play with, I know that when I'm inspired by a process I go through to capture something and it isn't about end result alone, I'm in love.
