Add me on Google+: I'm a very active user over there, sharing my photos and viewing others' photography. It's awesome.

I barely use Flickr, but am so very into Google+. If you are a photographer and aren't on there, you're missing out on an amazing community.

To those who would like to use my photo(s), please read the following:

Please note: if you want to use one or more of my photos for some purpose, please contact me via Flickr mail. If it's for a not for profit purpose (and you are working in that capacity), then I almost always give permission. But it's not cool to ask a photographer (even an amateur like myself) to give away their images for free if you're going to make a money (directly or indirectly) from using them. Please keep that in mind.

If you want to use one of my photos for a web site (like a blog), please send me the URL (web address) if the site and describe how you will use it (including how credit would be given). If you get paid to write or maintain the web site (either directly or via advertising), please don't expect me to contribute my work for free.

If your request will be used in a for profit situation, please let me know how much you're willing to offer for use of the image(s). Thank you.

One more thing: PLEASE let me know exactly which image you are interested in (sending the URL of the Flickr page is best), instead of a description, or even the title. I have a lot of photos, and sometimes I reuse titles. Thanks.

I've never had any sort of photography training, so I'm trying to learn as I go. Flickr allows me learn by others' examples, which I find invaluable. I have a long ways to go, but I'm enjoying the journey.

If you have helpful advice on how I could improve a specific photo or my photography in general, I'd love to hear it. Yes, really. Please leave a comment on my photos or drop me a Flickr mail.

My cameras:

Canon Rebel T2i (as of March 30, 2011. I love it.)
Canon Digital Rebel XT / 350D (as of May 24, 2007 - now dead. So sad.)
Kodak P850 (as of early July, 2006... now retired.)

Lenses for my Canon (including mini-reviews, for no apparent reason):

Sigma 50mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro 1:1
-- Love it! I'd prefer the Sigma 105mm macro (so I wouldn't have to get as close to my subjects on macros), but this lens is also great for portraits, and is very sharp.
Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 EX DC
-- Amazingly sharp lens for the price, with excellent color saturation. I use it all the time.
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II
-- Doesn't everyone own this one? Cheap, effective at night.
Canon EF 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 II USM
-- Nice lens for daytime use, but can be a bit soft and slow. I rarely use it.
Sigma AF 70-300mm APO DG f/4.0-5.6
-- Decent lens for the price. Usually quick to focus, and photos come out pretty sharp, considering it's a $200 telephoto lens. Also takes pretty decent almost macros (2:1 ratio).

Plus assorted filters (which I tend to misplace), tripod, monopod (which I tend to forget I own), etc.

As an FYI, part of the photos I post are for two photoblogs I have.

1) A city daily photo blog called Stayton (Oregon) Daily Photo. It highlights small town life in northwest Oregon. It's part of a large network of other photo blogs all around the world, so give it a look see, if you're interested.

2) Photos By Celine is a personal photoblog of my photography. I tend to forget to post to it, though. It's been a while, truthfully.
