I originally joined Flickr in September 2005, migrating to this account / profile in 2008. (Top tip - choose your Flickr URL wisely when you set up your account!)
I've taken snapshots for years but really want to learn more about composition and good photography. Trying to come to terms with balancing apertures, shutter speeds, ISO, etc.!!
I like to see and be inspired by others' work, so Flickr is superb for that. The creativity on here is truly amazing.
I am now the proud owner of a Canon EOS 450D (known in some places as the EOS Kiss X2 or EOS Rebel XSi). Came with a EF-S 18-55mm IS f/3.5-5.6 kit lens, and I've bought a EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS zoom lens to go with it.
I also have a Canon Powershot A570 IS for those compact moments.
