Wild images – photography by Callie de Wet
Photography is an adolescent infatuation that started more than 40 years ago with a picture of a small wildcat kitten coming out of the black Botswana night to lick the blood off a springbok kill at a camp fire. It grew over the years to become a fickle mistress, and it has now evolved into a passionate pleasure where the next picture opportunity is still as tantalising as was the first encounter so many years ago.

I work away from home during most of the week and are only able to really look at Flickr over weekends. This curbs my participation in most interactions on Flickr.

Furthermore, Flickr is not my only photo site, so I will seldom comment, just because of time constraints.
Groups - I might add my pictures to groups that I am invited too, if possible, but I will not pursue too many groups, again due to time constraints.

The above measurements are for me in order to survive, and still utilise the fantastic facilities here on Flickr, not because I think I am too good to look at the work of others as well, - I do look whenever I have the chance.

Mid Fifties, passionate about nature, birding and photography. Both my wife and I are birders, but not twitchers.

Please note that all my pictures are copyright protected, so do not use without permission.
