I am happily married and child-free, although I do have a dog and a cat. I teach 5th grade Science and have done so for 10 years.

I love to do crafts. I sew all kind of things including clothes, quilts, toys, mug rugs, etc. I like to knit, embroider and cross-stitch. I'd like to crochet but haven't taken the time to sit down and teach myself how to do it. I've dabbled in needle-felting (haven't tried again since I mistook my thumb for a wad of wool) and punch needle embroidery.

My favorite colors are anything bright and rather saturated. I'm not a big fan of pastels. I like dark colors as well, as long as they are sure about what they want to be. (A few years ago it seemed that the colors of all things fashionable were dark and muddy. I am not a muddy color lover.)

Lately I seem to have developed a love of hedgehogs. I also like elephants and I have collected a few Dunnys to add to the mix. Schleich animals are perched on most flat surfaces in my house as well. I like old typewriters, old cameras, and mix-matched china tea cups. Oh, and chocolate and poetry and trees.

Sailing... I forgot to mention sailing. I love sailing and all things sailboat. Ok, well not old oil paintings of sailboats. But other things of sailboats.

Love VW buses too. Not the newer ones but the pre-1970 ones. Lovely. I have little ones all over the house.

I drink both tea and coffee but only decaf.

That's all I can think of for now.
