Twain Shall Meet: what i am striving for in my life, east and west--two different lives & cultures meet in ONE -- that about sums me up.

I am a wanderer, world traveler, an artist, and an amateur photographer with a passion. A theater-going, theater-loving, theater creating woman with carpentry, lighting, and organization skills. I can also weld.

A nanny, a babysitter, an English teacher, translator & stage manager...who also enjoys coffee, not smoking, beer and wine, my harmonica, guitar players, live bands, reading in moving vehicles, trains & buses of the CTA & BKV variety, boating, swimming, water in general, drinking tea with friends, listening to the radio rather than watching TV, watching chick flicks, spending lazy days-off in bed at home, my cat, dancing when no one is watching, wearing pretty dresses, eating sushi and Thai food, and holding hands in public places, my dual citizenship.

I prefer shooting film. Gradually scanning negatives when time allows.

I am learning everyday.

found this while surfing flickr (11.29.2007) and it says something i really agree with whole-heartedly :: i have no blog but liked this so much i needed to post it....

"often times the camera doesn't capture that. the camera is a dumb machine and it lies. human truth is much different than actual truth in my humble opinion and what i prefer to remember is what i've seen in my mind's eye so that's what i doctor into my photos. i remove circles and blemishes from faces... but i leave in that which makes a person themselves. if you know what i mean."
