These days, it's quilting, quilting and more quilting! I am really enjoying free motion quilting and trying out new designs and techniques. I love checking out other peoples quilting - feathers and swirls - love 'em! I'm also trying really hard to work out of my stash this year!

I love high contrast, colourful quilts - black and white and just about anything will grab my attention. I love batiks and hand dyes, and am always looking at trying something new. Quilts that are naturally inspired - trees , leaves etc, and are graphic in nature really catch my attention. Trapunto and beautiful quilting are so inspiring! I just can't get the hang of hand quilting and hand applique, although I love and appreciate the work that goes into it, I love machine work! I love free motion quilting, and will quilt feathers on just about anything, although I am now branching out into more FMQ designs.

Not so keen on primitive styles or really greyed out colours, although looking through my stash, I do seem to have a fair bit, so that's one of the changes I've gone through as a quilter! I year ago I would have said no to pink, yellow and oranges in a quilt - now I am very happy to have and use them. I have to say, I don't really follow designer trends - I don't know names or fabric lines, and am not stuck on having to have anything in particular. I like variety in colour, style and fabric types.

Love reading quilting books and magazines, and my day doesn't start until I have at least 1 cup of java in me. I also have an insatiable sweet tooth and love my chocolate!
