Water is Basic is dedicated to empowering local leadership in Sudan with the tools & resources necessary to provide their people with clean water.

Decades of civil war have left Southern Sudan without any infrastructure, which means daily access to one of life's most basic necessities, clean water, is a dream for most.

We fund a Sudanese run team dedicated to the hard work of putting one well per week in the ground. Currently, we have two drilling rigs & two drilling crews. Each well costs approximately $3000 and gives clean water to 1000-2000 people. Few investments do so much good for so little money.
