WashingtonTV launches a bilingual and multimedia news site covering Iran

At a time of crucial developments in Iran's relations with the West and with its neighbors, WashingtonTV launches its independent and multimedia news site, TelevisionWashington.com, covering Iran, with content available in both Persian and English.

As an accurate, impartial and balanced source of information, this Washington, D.C.-based news site offers original news footage and photos from inside Iran, alongside news reports and digests, on a daily basis. The archives date back to late 2007.

With the approach of Iran's tenth presidential election, to be held on 12 June 2009, the site is also devoting a special section to daily updates of news and events on the election.

Alongside these, WashingtonTV offers a selection of several Persian-language blogs, also translated into English, on a regular basis to produce a video report, highlighting the diverse postings of bloggers from inside Iran.

WashingtonTV also reports on events and forums held in Washington, including Congressional hearings, press briefings as well as academic discussions, seminars and conferences, covering Iran.

WashingtonTV has writers and contributors in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East, including contributions by citizen journalists from inside Iran.
