Mr.Wang came to America in 1992 and earned a MFA from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Now he is an full time art faculty in an art college in Ohio, USA . As a dedicated teacher and active artist, Wang has been honored by many exhibition committees. His works are held in private and public collections in both China and United States including the China National Museum of Fine Arts in Beijing, University of Colorado and Ohio State House. He is working for his four solo exhibitions 2010.

Wang’s work reflects his personal recollection of rural life and traveling experience in the minority areas of China. Some of his works captured a brief moment from sensitive observation; others re-created poetized landscapes from fantasy that invoke his nostalgia or meditation. Wang focuses on sentiments and lives of ordinary country people as a symbol of traditional culture and a clean environment in contrast with the unhealthy money worship and serious pollution of China today.

With his education and life experience in both the East and the West, Wang explores cultural hybrids in his artwork. He investigates an oriental mood through combining Western traditional oil language with the influences of Buddhist and Chinese folk art. His work also absorbs many Chinese art concepts and themes such as subjective color, geometric forms, reorganized linear qualities, and decorative patterns.
