Vroman's Bookstore is the oldest and largest independent bookstore in Southern California. The store's founder, Adam Clark Vroman first founded the store as a book & photographic supply store in 1894. Vroman's first author event was held in 1939, and since then, the store has grown into a beloved community fixture with 250 - 350 author events a year (including many kid's & teen events), the Vroman's Gives Back charity program, a twice-weekly Storytime with Mr. Steve, house & teacher accounts, an incredibly popular annual Teacher's Night, and above all, excellent customer service.
