Since taking early retirement from my previous occupations (journalist, professor, public relations executive), I have worked as a part-time freelance photographer, writer and consultant. My company, Vorland Photography, specializes in editorial/documentary and advertising/PR, as well as in portraiture, fine art, events, lifestyle, and portfolio development for models and performers. Since I choose not to bear the expense of a conventional store front studio, my fees are very reasonable. I also teach workshops and offer one-on-one instruction to those new to digital photography. I am located in Grand Forks, N.D., and maintain a second residence in Eden Prairie, Minn., near Minneapolis.

Most often, I am compensated on a one-time basis for my time and expenses. Post-processing of images is optional, and billed separately if chosen. I can also arrange for high quality prints. Unlike most commercial and studio photographers, who retain ownership of the images, I convey full ownership to the client. The pictures can be used in any way that you wish, as many times as you wish.
