Volunteer Uganda is a fantastic organisation which helps out primary schools in Kanungu district, South West Uganda. Volunteers stay in a lodge built in a clearing overlooking the Bwindi Impenetrable Rainforest, where 300 of the remaining 600 Mountain Gorillas live. It is an amazing part of the world, and the kids in the schools are so eager to learn, and are so fun that they make the time over instantly memorable and rewarding.
