I began to love photography from the minute I was bought my 'Get-a-long-Gang' camera at about the age of 10. After that my Dad passed on his old Pentax SLR with a selection of lenses and filters. A couple of SLR's later, my brother gave me my first digital camera- a sony cybershot 2megapixels. Then Rob got me a 5megapixel pentax for my birthday last year. Thinking I couldn't be happier with my camera combos, I had no wish to get a digital SLR- I mean how could they be as good as real film? Then I tried my brother's out and I was hooked. When I went to visit him in Hong Kong in May I finally gave in and bought my Pentax digital SLR. It's an istD 6megapixel and I love it.
I'm still very much learning with both film and digital SLR but I truly love it. My aim at the moment is to get better at naturla portrait shots. Photography for me is all about capturing the moment more than a well thought out pose or composition. If anyone has any good advice, I'd gladly take it.
