**VIVA**'s photostream

I like photography, six syllable words and Dominos pizza. I'm a sucker for kitchen gadgets and I love to read the Ikea catalogue as I am rubbish at interior design. I love 20th Century Russian music, The Beatles when they 'went hippy' and I believe Patrick Stewart is the finest actor to come from England's greenest hills.

I do not like poor grammar, ignorance, rudeness or cyclists in the City that think they can ignore the Highway Code. I don't like overly opinionated people that don't try to understand others' way of thinking and I don't like people who think they know everything about everything because THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE. I hate pedancy, patronising personalities and trying to find a good way to end this section.

I have loved and appreciated good photography for a long time but it was only in December 2005 that I started to take a 'physical' interest. I've noticed a marked improvement in both my photography and Photoshop skills and I'm pleased that I now use Photoshop more for enhancements, rather than corrections. Hope that doesn't sound arrogant...

I am becoming increasingly interested and fascinated by the burlesque scene..I am currently reading "Burlesque and the Art of the Teese" by Dita Von Teese and I've drawn a lot of inspiration from there, which I am hoping will come across in my next lot of photographs.

All my pics so far (date 27th March 2007) are taken with my Casio Exilim. It's a great compact but there's only so much you can do...I'm buying very first DSLR at the end of April and to say I'm excited is an understatement.

Small update to this section; I finally bought my DSLR yesterday (5th May 2007)! I now have a silver Nikon D40 and with that I got a lens filter, camera bag, 18-55mm lens and three year cover! I love Jessops.
