“To copy what’s invisible, to improvise
a soul of things and remake solid life
into fresh anxious unlifelike form.”

― W. S. Di Piero

“To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never to forget.”

― Arundhati Roy

"What is there to say about Kat's photography? Not much, if you exclude the attention that she gives to her superb work. Not much if you remove the way that each of her photos always has a way of touching the heart. Not much if you take out the unique style and imagery that she puts into her conceptual art. Not much if you omit how splendidly she handles the use of light and shadow. From still life's of apples posing as oranges and hula-hooping deer, to the flutter of a parrot's wing and the unexpected treasure of a washed up light bulb, she always has a way of making the ordinary, extraordinary. I always look forward to seeing what she will come up with next.

She is a kind person with a quick wit. I always enjoy reading her comments. In short, this lady is just plain old-fashioned cool. So what is there to say about Kat's photography if you remove all this? Not much."
