"Love is so short, and forgetting is so long"
- Pablo Neruda

This stream is a documentary; a conduit; a catharsis.

I miss the creativity of the darkroom, the smell of chemicals on my hands; I miss the relentless commitment of shooting transparencies, the irreversible immediacy of the images. I liked the messy romance of it all.

I appreciate feedback. I don't appreciate lurkers. If anything angers you, or moves you, let me know.
If you fave a shot, or add me as a contact, but you have no profile picture or photographs to show, then I will block you.

There are no videos on this stream. Nor will there be.

If you steal anything without permission, I will hunt you down and kill you.

"As the tracer glides
In its graceful arc
Send a little prayer out to ya
'cross the falling dark "

With profound thanks to sreya (water gurl) for the past pro accounts.

Please feel free to contact me via flickrmail (don't use my yahoo mail account, as I almost never check there).

    Brilliant."

"Beautiful man with open mind and old, wise soul. His art is a form of catharsis.
Brent, thank you so much for your exquisite images and stories. Since my english is not good enough to express what I want to say, I shall quote Milan Kundera:
"When the heart speaks, the mind finds it indecent to object."
(from The Unbearable Lightness of Being)"

"right...where oh where do i begin.
Shall i start by describing the quiet intelligence that exudes from every pore...or perhaps i shall explain the intense sensitivity that makes up his sincerity?
I shall start with a wonderful sincere genuine man that inspires me and those that know him(i'm sure of it) Such realness is immeasureable and indescribeable.
Its a pleasure getting to know you Mr jennings.

    Stephen Symons says:

"I've know Brent most of my life and his quiet sense of creativity always inspires me. Flickr is littered photographic cobblers, but Brent is the real deal. He was shooting analogue before most Flickrites could spell the word 'camera', so much so, he inspired me to have a bash at photography. While I'm a member of the digeratti, Brent's images don't require the bells and whistles of digital post-production. His images are powerful, in meaning and composition.
He should be doing this fulltime!"

"I know I should premeditate on what I'll say...because to describe a person and his work like this man and his work, one needs to say exactly the right thing. To express the feeling that he evokes with his work and to compliment the real feeling and love that he puts into each piece...well perhaps there are just no words :)
Perhaps one can only know by experiencing it for themself.
This gentleman will never be at a loss for talent nor kindness. You'll never come across someone quite like him, or a photostream quite like this. It's hard to debate whether it's the captions or the photos that really catch you by the throat, perhaps the combination of the two does the trick. Whatever it may be...to view this photostream is to look upon the mind and heart of a true artist."
