Model Mayhem: #715818

I'm not as well financed as some of the people here. Most of my cameras were bought used. Some were given to me. Only my Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi was purchased new, and that's the one camera out of all of them that I'm likely to want to sell.

The rest are almost entirely vintage film cameras. The only way a schmuck like me is going to get his hands on good glass is if I buy it attached to an old camera.

I use Elinchrom Skyport triggers. They work 100% and cost a lot less than Pocket Wizards. I recommend them highly!

My flashes are kind of a mix but most of my light comes from Vivitar 285HV's. I don't have tons of modifiers. I mostly work with umbrellas to get the look I'm after but sometimes I do have to get a little more creative.

My post processing:
Some of my earlier stuff was done in iPhoto of all things. Not anymore. These days, post processed is done in Gimp.

GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. It works on many operating systems, in many languages.

My B&W film images generally don't get digital post processing. Just a direct scan of the negative with the barest of digital correction for web display.
