Vintage Printable provides free, public domain antique naturalist and scientific illustration. We have about 4000+ images curated from all over the web -- mostly academic and governmental digital libraries. A few are uploaded here.

The images are copyright-free (1923 or older), or images created on behalf of the US government (like, WPA posters), upload them, and place them in categories. We have many rare botanical and zoological book illustrations uploaded, as well as one-off images. Most are hi-res (but not all, alas), but all are free for the downloading/printing.
