O.K. It's a stupid name, I know. 'Vidna Spunk'. Silly, nonsensical and ridiculous.
A few years back I made a Birthday card for my best of friend of 25 years, it was more of a newspaper really than just a card and It was filled with nonsense and funny pictures... sort of "The Onion" style. In it I included an imaginary women who wrote a column about love and relationships, her name was Vidna Spunk. In the spring of 2009, at the age of 45, my best friend died due to heart failure. 3 times a week for 25 years we got together, hung out, worked out, went camping, watched movies and just pretty much tried to enjoy the hell out of this life while we could. At about that time I became more interested in photography and when I found Flickr for whatever reason, the first thing I thought of for a screen name was Vidna. I have but a few friends, and have never quite recovered, I mean who does?
