Photography has been a sometime passion for years now, I still have an album of the first pictures I took, aged 6, on a very old camera that produced square pictures. Thankfully, considering the bad angles and framing in that album, I have improved somewhat since then, but I'm still striving to do better.

Sometimes I feel as if my technical ability lets me down, but having a digital camera helps immeasurably - at least I can afford to experiment now! There is no doubt that digital has improved my work, as has browsing through some of the amazing pictures here on Flickr - endless hours of inspiration.

Now, in the throes of developing my ability, I am immensely grateful for all the kind and critical comments left for me - if you see something you like, or think could be improved, please take the time to tell me.

For those who want a little technical info... I use a Canon EOS 350 DSLR with the kit lens or a F/1.4 50mm Prime lens and have just got a Speedlite 430 Mk II flash unit. Watch out for some strobist techniques soon!
