Raw, natural, organic rank amateur. Opposed to fundamentalism in any form; a lover and cultivator of beauty. Vocationally, I engage oppression/violence/trauma on a regular and intimate basis, so I'm not drawn to express that w/my photography -- though I see a necessary and valid need for such images elsewhere.

My photos are raw by default; aside from cropping, I don't process them much if at all (I've only recently started using a tripod) -- possibly because I don't know how, but primarily because I'm after preserving/accurately recreating and sharing "the moment". Therefore, what you see is usually a realistic representation of what I experienced in the moment of capturing the image. I don't own PS; I don't know what IR and HDR stand for. I don't own a microwave either :) There's often a tom cat fighting w/the tripod legs while I'm shooting in my garden. Self-taught, photography (like gardening, appreciating beauty and life) is an organic process for me.

I lead a very full life and I try to keep up w/my contacts, so please understand if I don't add additional ones; I'm already spending too much time on Flickr :)

"When I see verdant eye's macro photos, i can feel the soft textures of the petals, leaves and the downy fibers, as if I am touching them truly.
And I can see the very tiny lights in the minimum bubbles in small waterdrop in them.
It's my wonderful pleasure that I always see vardant eye's photos.
And reading the polite, kind, and unique replies is also big fun for me.
verdant eye is a very precious friend from the time at which I just began flickr."

"There is never a time that I drop by verdant eye's photostream that I come away anything but uplifted. She has a special gift for seeing the details in everyday objects and shares her innermost thoughts about them as well which I find so refreshing. I am a details person myself.

To top it off she takes the time to leave comments on other Flicker members photos that are as thoughtful and full of energy as on her own descriptions.

verdant eye...thank you my friend for sharing your sensitive view of the "little things" in this great big world. You are an inspiration..your photos are treasures !
