Hello and welcome, my name is Goffy.

I am a born and bred Yorkshire man living in the UK. I am lucky enough to have a second home in the Loire Valley area of France, so my photographs will often depict a mix of these two countries.

I am an enthusiastic amature with a camera who does not take himself too seriously. What I lack in technical ability, I try to make up for with a vivid imagination and a touch of creativity where ever possible.

I am in awe of many wonderful images found on Flickr and this inspires me to adapt and enhance my own work. I appreciate a story telling or mood setting photograph and marvel at the wonderful creativity of some of the photographers to be found here. Above all, I try to keep my photography fun and stimulating.

In the past, I have become embarassingly obsessed with Flickr at the expense of my family and friends and I have now settled in to a more relaxed commitment which does not take all of my time & is not all encompassing. I realise that there are far more important things in life! :-).

So with respect to my contacts - I will make every effort to post comments here and there, but I cannot promise to be available to comment on every image that you post, as I will not be visiting Flickr on a daily basis! If you are not OK with this, then please do not add me as a contact! I will deliberately try to keep my contact list small and easily manageable, so I appologise if I do not reciprocate immediately if you add me as a contact, but I will still endeavor to return any comment made on my stream and if you regularly comment on my images - I will do the same in return :-).
