Valdemir Cunha's photostream  

Valdemir Cunha was born in Sao Paulo in 1966. He studied Journalism, took up photography in 1986. He spent six years with publisher Abril as picture editor for the magazines "Terra" and "Viagem e Turismo". He traveled to more than eighty countries producing images for these magazines and other titles by the same publisher. He has earned several photography awards, including three from Abril. Since 2001, he has headed the photography department at Editora Peixes (which publishes twelve titles) and is executive editor of the magazine "Terra". In 2006, he brought out "Retratos do Brasil", with images from over fifteen years traveling in Brazil. In 2007, he brought "Pantanal: the last Eden" (Pantanal: o ultimo Eden), in 2008 "Precious Hands: Craft in Ceara" (Maos Preciosas: O Artesanato do Ceara) and "Oficina de Agosto presents a brilliant Brazil" (O Brasil Genial da Oficina de Agosto).
