My purchase of a Panasonic/Leica DMC-LX1 camera several years ago had opened a new horizon for me to creat very portable digital artforms.

But finding time outside regular work to make these captured images presentable to the public is a challenge.

Finally, I got my own website up: www.cyangphotography.com

Every minute is valuable in digital life. Computers do not make life simpler or more relaxing. It makes digital life needing more than 24 hrs a day. There is no solution in sight soon.

I strife hard to capture my pictures at the 'critical moment' in time to attempt to tell a visual story. Most of the time, I also find myself chasing after the light that illuminates scenes that others are not willing to wait for.

Some of the older photos were originally taken with a Minolta Maxxum 7, 24-105mm lens, using Fujichrome Sensia or Ilford FP4 Plus films. The images were then digitally scanned using a Minolta Scan Multi-Pro.

More recent photos were shot via the Leica zoom lens on my Panasonic LX-3. It is the only camera that I carry with me at all time now. It serves as an extension of my eyes and my sketchpad. What a beautiful 'sketchpad' that I have now. I have no more excuses not to do more serious photography.

I added photos taken from my first dSLR, a used Konica-Minolta 5D body using my old 24-105mm, and 80-200mm Minolta AF zoom lenses.

I sold the 5D and replaced it with a Sony A300 dSLR body, along with an old 50mm f/1.7 Minolta Maxxum AF lens. It has become my 'standard' (75mm) lens on my dSLR.

The dSLR is a beauty, and it helped me to concentrate better with the eyelevel viewfinder. No time lag, but still too bulky to carry around with it all the time.
