I mostly take pictures with my little point-and-shoot digital camera. However I also work where possible with a handmedown Asahi Pentax Spotmatic ii, once the property of my father. I occasionally experiment with toy cameras.

One day I'd like to own a DSLR. I've never used one, so I don't really know how they tick - that's a journey of discovery I'd definitely like to make. That said, I genuinely believe that to quite a great extent, taking good pictures isn't about the camera. It's about skill and imagination.

Generally speaking I don't believe in photoshopping my images. It feels too much like cheating, somehow. So the vast majority of what I post here is entirely unaltered - anything that is, is marked as such.

I don't have a particular mission when it comes to photography. I take pictures of things I think are interesting or beautiful, or else just what's around me in my daily life.
