utdesertduo's photostream
|

Just a monkey with a camera and lots of time to go out shooting. Not as much time as I would like, mind you but enough to keep me busy and learning at a decent rate.
I started shooting film long ago in grade school with a Kodak 110 camera. It's been a lot more fun now that I have a DSLR!!!
I'd be glad to sell rights for use of my images, so just contact me and keep ithonest. Thanks.
Please, no faving or commenting if you have nothing available to me or have nasty content on your photostream. You'll just get blocked.Same goes for those obnoxious "award" comments, please don't leave a ton of them, I want honest feedback so I can improve as a photographer, not some bogous "award".

Scott Stringham "Rustling Leaf Design" says:
"I meet Randy via a fellow GSL photographer. I have known Randy since Spring 2008, from our first meeting we have become the best of friends. Randy has an excitement that he brings to his craft, it shows in every one of his shots. Take some time and explore his excellent photostream.
Randy; you always thank me for inspiring you, well its a two way street. Thanks for motivating me to get out more and expand my own vision!"18th March, 2010

INCABULUS says:
" "Randy and I met at work and after some time I found out that he is a photographer. So I approached him one day and started asking questions and he just unloaded more info about composition, framing, the rule of thirds, how to use some of the functions on my camera that I hadn't figured out, even though I had read the owners manual and watched the U-tube tutorial video, and introduced me to a whole new world that I thought I would never be a part of.
Since then Randy has been a good friend and introduced me to other "photo freaks", introduced me to Flickr, bought my first pro account, continues to invite me to go shoot with him. Randy has not only challenged me and encouraged me to become a better photographer but I believe he has helped me become a better person.
Thanks Randy...I will be forever grateful.""13th June, 2009

Clint Ireland Huffman says:
"Before I'd actually met Randy, I'd long been admiring his work on Flickr. He has a way of finding fantastic places, taking pictures of those places at the right time, and letting those images speak for themselves, representing the actual experience of being there. Now that I've actually met and spent some time out shooting with Randy, he continues to impress me with his eye for good composition, willingness to share knowledge and dedication to be out there shooting every chance he gets. I look forward to seeing what he comes up with every time I turn on my computer."

"Being passionate about a subject inspires great photographs. I feel this is true for much of Randy's work. His studies of the Great Salt Lake and his adventures throughout Utah and beyond show a clear passion for the subjects he photographs. I enjoy seeing where his adventures take him and hope he'll continue to surprise us with his vision of the western landscape."

"Randy's work is easily some of the best on Flickr. You can tell quickly that he puts a lot of time and effort into his work, based on the places he visits and the quality you see here. If you're looking for fantastic landscapes, look no further."
