I'm female, 23 years old, married, white, Christian, working in a prison, wishing I could go back to college. I enjoy hiking, writing, riding motorcycles, playing with my ferrets, dancing & music, and annoying my husband.

I can't really say I'm into "photography", because I have no formal training, but I've always loved taking pictures. I've had a couple fairly cheap/crappy digital cameras, and just got a nicer one for Christmas, so now I can take some that are worth posting.

I spend a lot of time in the outdoors, so many of my pictures will be of places and things here in southern Appalachain mountains. I like mountain and lake settings, and "rural decay" like old institutional buildings and abandoned factories, and rural houses, farms, and barns.

I studied sociology in school, and am still interested in religious and cultural/subcultural groups, and in extremist groups & youth subcultures. I'm interested in "street" photography and in pictures of abandoned areas and urban decay, because so much about our society is reflected in those images. I guess I'm really more concerned with the "marks" that people leave on the world than on the people themselves.
