I struggle with a severe mood distorder. My art, and especially my self portraits and later photography in general ----are ways in which I cope. In my poems I find formulas to live my life, and through photography I express what I cannot always put down in words....

    " My favorite color.
inez, Sandy, indigo has been very open in her photo stream about her life, here joys, and her pains.
It seems no coincidence to me that she lives near a great Canadian river and feels the life force of the water flowing in and around her all the time.
I met Sandy in another group and have been honored to remain contacts and friends with her ever since.
There is a calm and a depth in Ms indigo that comes from long forbearance and the art of patience.
Her photos are mature, experienced, thoughtful, and she has a knack for the zen of things as well as for the incongruities of life.
I always feel a gentle breath in her work as if she were trying to breathe life into her still lifes and light into her inanimate objects.
Again, calm and depth, of art, soul, and mind and a breath of rejuvenating fresh air every time I see one of her postings.
It gives me great pleasure to commend her photo stream and her person to you and I hope you are as moved by her as I am.
written for Sala de Luna Group."

"Sandy's photos have soul, depth and emotion. Each image is lovingly crafted from deep within, shaped by experience and refined through her beauty and grace. Each self-portrait she takes reaches deep into her soul, at times uncovering the sad, melancholy, and then opens to the happy, mysterious and sensual; it's been such a pleasure to see her work grow, transform, taking on new bold and exciting directions."
