Of the engineering i.e. technical type with a slight artistic bent (so I'm told but I see it more as a warp) but that may have been corrupted by several years of technical drawing at school, hence the Flickr name.
Aged in the ascending forties fifties I have spent most of my life in New Zealand but lived for a year in Washington state, USA and loved it. But life is full of twists and I am back in the country of my birth...for now.
I am currently using a Nikon D70s which I love. There has been much discussion on the emphasis on which photographers place on their equipment but having had many cameras over the years I can say that when you are "at one" (my apologies for using this cliche but language is not my strength) with your camera and enjoy using it you can get the best you both have to offer. I like the weight of the Nikon and the sound of the shutter, it appears and sounds to be a well engineered camera with a grace not present with many other modern models.

Please do not post any awards to my photos. What I enjoy seeing is honest opinions (positive or negative) that I can use to grow as an amateur photographer.

What you can find here is a much deeper study of shapes and tones and subtle interpretations of everyday life.
