I am a professional artist and show my work regularly. While I appreciate all the comments, I am not particularly interested in being invited to groups which require you to hand out awards. I find all those graphic icons annoying and would rather people didn't use them in the comments. I also do not appreciate critiques of my work unless I've asked for it.

I make my living off my art, and have built a career by deliberately not following the rules of photography. So while you think an image might look better if it were a) in focus b) had more contrast c) was lighter, darker, or turned upside down; be assured that was not my intention in creating the image, and I won't appreciate your helpful comments. I also don't care if you think a watermark ruins the images. They are there for a reason - if you can't look beyond that look for someone else's stream to follow.
