OUR MISSION. Ugnayan ng Mga Anak ng Bayan or Linking the Children of the Motherland is a comprehensive grassroots organization of Filipino youth based in New York and New Jersey dedicated to educating, organizing, and mobilizing for the rights and welfare of the Filipino youth in the US. Through collective leadership, progressive culture and community engagement, we strive to reclaim and re-root to the true history of the Filipino people to better understand how our local and personal issues are interconnected with the struggles at the homefront. We support the struggle for justice, peace, and genuine liberation of the Filipino people.

OUR OBJECTIVES. We seek to educate, organize and mobilize Filipino youth to:

* Challenge the systemic erasure of our true history as a people, re-examine our community’s experiences in the US and decolonize our minds;

* Raise awareness and struggle for our community’s legitimate rights and welfare;

* Anchor ourselves in the larger Filipino community, especially the domestic workers and the low-wage workers;

* Carry out campaigns that address the issues that affect the local Filipino community in the US, around the world, and in the Philippines;

* Build alliances with other youth and struggling peoples towards a better future based on just and lasting peace; and;

* Raise funds to continue Ugnayan’s work.
