I am a 60+ grandmother of five living in UK. I love travelling and over the past four years I have helped a family in SW Uganda to build a not-for-profit Guest House, that is now giving many benefits to the local villagers.
It is suitable for visitors and volunteers alike, and I am actively seeking people of all ages and interests to stay out at Uganda Lodge for a short or long period, to help with various Community projects
We have built a large Hall, opened a Nursery School, run a Business Training course, sponsored a Village Football Team and facilitate the showing of local language educational DVD's
Currently I am raising money to complete the building of a craft-centre/workshop which will enable us to offer vocational training skills.
