I've always liked to watch and make photos. Before digital I never caught on to the very indirect control chemicals, time and temperature gave me over my b/w. And I wondered whether Kodak hated me personally, why else would they make all my stuff slightly olive-green? Digital gave me the control I aspired to. I love PS but use the tools sparingly: crop, sharpen, contrast, saturation, maybe color balance. And of course convert to b/w. Flickr to me is not only viewing/showing and sharing, it is LEARNING and love it for that. Never mind the occasional humiliation that what I considered an unique and artistic angle had long been seen and captured by many...

It's not that I am too stingy to get a pro account - actually I should get one just to support a great project. But so far I have resisted because of the monthly limit of the free account: the limit is an assurance that I do not post lightly and only post photos I consider good.
