Half of the harm that is done in this world
Is due to people who want to feel important
They don't mean to do harm - but the harm does not interest them
Or they do not see it, or they justify it
Because they are absorbed in the endless struggle
To think well of themselves.
(T S Eliot - The Cocktail Party)

We live, as we dream--alone. . .

Stanley Kubrick
"How could we possibly appreciate the Mona Lisa if Leonardo had written at the bottom of the canvas: 'The lady is smiling because she is hiding a secret from her lover.' This would shackle the viewer to reality, and I don't want this to happen to 2001."
Stanley Kubrick
Metaphors are dangerous. Love begins with a metaphor. Which is to say, love begins at the point when a woman enters her first word into our poetic memory.
Milan Kundera
When you look into the Abyss, the Abyss also looks into you.

"It looks as though I will have the grand gratitude and happiness in giving deck his first (and well-deserved) testimonial.
With that said, I am going to keep it short and simple. As I have stated on a previous post of his:
"If anyone wants to see beautiful landscape imagery and the use of nature...then please visit deckard's site, or if you are reading this, dig deeper."
But there is more from where that comes from. Deck is, not only a diamond at heart, but one that could capture anyone's visual receptors with the fibers of his work which are apparent through that heart. Keep up the great work!"29th June, 2005
