I'm a transplanted Texan, originally from NC [the Asheville area is "home"]. Just an avid amateur who doesn't go anywhere without a camera in tow! Became interested in photography as a teenager. Went through several compact-type cameras before I got my first 35mm - a Yashica FX-D quartz - took me a couple of rolls of film to figure out, but I was hooked once I got the hang of it! I then took over my husband's fully manual Canon AE-1 and that was the last he ever saw of his camera!! LOL :o) I used the AE-1 until about 7 years ago when he got me a Canon EOS for Mother's Day... and I've since gone digital with the Canon EOS Rebel XT.
