Tulips on Troost's photostream

Tulips on Troost is a non-profit organization that aims to change the face of Troost Avenue by planting one million tulips along the Avenue by 2010.
Through this activity, we will:
-Bring deserved attention & respect to one of our city's most important founders, Dr. Benoist Troost
-Give our city's residents alternative, new, and significant ways to perceive race, color, & culture as it relates to Troost Avenue
-Create opportunities for community members to cooperate in bettering the environment around them
-Influence city planners & legislators to prioritize the revitalization of Troost Avenue
-Attract citizens to take up residency, move/start their businesses, or simply become a consumer along Troost Avenue
-Provide a powerful symbol of hope, achievement, and healing to everyone who observes the positive changes on Troost Avenue.
