I have been a professional artist since 1989, working in various media, particularly hand-painted silks and acrylics. In 1999, I moved toward working in digital illustration and in Web design. Having acquired my degree in Information Technologies and Communications Design, I added more traditional graphic design and multimedia design in 2003. In 2006, I started my own company, Karl Designs, a full service design firm, based out of the Monterey Bay area, California. One of the most exciting things about this is that I have been able to provide work for other people, while providing more creative solutions for my clients in line with my own vision of good design.

It's funny how things come full circle -- now I am integrating my illustration and art into my products and am also creating and selling them online through a great avenue, www.istockphoto.com/file_search.php?action=file&userI... (see more below).

I was invited to join Flickr some time ago, finally did (thanks, Chuck), and am adding more pieces to my portfolio.
