An entomologist with a particular interest in true bugs (Hemiptera), I am the National Recorder for the Shieldbugs and allied insects recording scheme and frequently use Flickr as a source of photographically verifiable records. If I add the tag 'addedhetrecscheme' to your photo, this indicates that I have extracted the data for the recording scheme.

Most of my photos are now with a Canon SLR + 90mm/MPE 65mm/400mm, but I still love my old Coolpix 995 which I also use for digiscoping

Individuals can use any images presented in this gallery for their own private, non-commercial purposes, free of charge. I ask only that you let me know the details of your intended use and give credit where it's due.

"Wow! Such a stunning collection, I had to view the whole collection.

    Nigel Jones says:

"Well, what can I say? Tristanba appeared on the Flickr scene in 2007 and in just a few short months he has built up a stunning collection of photographs of invertebrates. These include some of the best behaviour shots I have seen - see the photos of Podalonia hisuta excavating it's nest and carrying its prey. Great Stuff!"
