Go With The Reids says:
"We cannot say enough about the photography of Tris Hutchinson. The balance of little details and space in his works is truly one of a kind. Another attribute in his photography that keeps us looking at his work is the the balance that is shown by the photographer, balance of color, balance of the individual photographs, and balance of subject matter in the entire body of work. When trying to compare Tris with other photographers, names like Lewis Baltz and Stephen Shore quickly come to mind. The main thing that keeps us hooked to the photographs is the sense of sincerity in each and every work.
We appreciate Tris sharing what he sees with us, and the whole world."5th October, 2010

troppotardi says:
"troppotardi has had the opportunity to show Tris Hutchinson photos.
Tris has a great continuity in choosing the subjects. He's able to catch a great light and a good contrast of colors, but what has amazed us is how he chooses the subjects. Exactly as troppotardi does, Tris looks for landscapes and places where humans are often absent but where their presence can be felt by the objects left on the scene, creating a metaphysical atmosphere.
A sense of solitude permeates the shots giving to them an eternal look, as if everything has always been there and there it will always remain."26th September, 2010

Tim Schreier says:
"There are a lot of talented people on Flickr, Tris Hutchinson is certainly one of the stand outs. What I like about Tris' photography is the unique way he looks at the world. Tris excels in providing the viewer with a number of different perspectives; minimal (probably the most disciplined of all photography), landscapes from a unique point of view and objects found in every day life but stand out in Tris' work. Tris also has a very distinct use of blur, when necessary to enhance the subject.
If there were a certain style of photographer or artist's work I would dare to compare Tris' to, it would probably be William Eggelston for his choice in subjects, unique eye and discipline.
I always look forward to flipping through his work and certainly hope you do as well. Enjoy it, in my humble opinion, it is quite good, if not great!"15th September, 2010
