Every road is a gift. You can’t see clear to the end. So getting there is a gift to be discovered, an adventure to be unraveled. I’ve always believed that, but never thought I’d have a chance to write about it like this.

Trips with a Twist was to be a place to share the special things our family has done. But I soon realized it could be broader, include a greater range of content and rekindle my fascination with the odd and out-of-the-ordinary along the open road.

It’s still about making memories and unwinding the gifts that are the roads of our lives. You can expect to find travel news, tips, resources – as well as our own tales from the road, of course.

We’re not rich or famous. We’re just ordinary people who are into sharing what we discover about travel. It doesn’t get any deeper than that. We’re doing this for the love of it. Won’t you join us on our journey?
