I'm just someone who loves to carry around a camera. (And I do carry around a camera EVERYWHERE!) I'm not a great photographer but I just like taking pictures. I'm also new to the digital camera world. I learned photography on a 35mm camera and now some of that knowledge is obsolete but I'm slowly transitioning to digital. The camera that most of my uploaded pictures are from is a Sony Cybershot 7.2 mega-pixel point-and-shoot camera.. One day I'm going to buy a high-end digital SLR so I can really produce some great pictures.

I do have college training in photography (it is only one semester worth of knowledge). I've actually got a portfolio of photos I took while in class. However, I'm not an art major. I graduated with a degree in Biology. I'm a science person with the heart of an artist and photography is my medium of choice to express myself.

So, I hope you like my work. I use Flickr for two things: (1) to share my pictures with friends and family and (2) to backup all my pictures in the event something happens to the originals. That is the reason why you see a lot of random things on my photostream. It is because I don't just pick and choose my best pictures to be put on display. I display everything... the good and the bad. Now there are a lot of photos that are private like birthdays, weddings, etc. Those are only for friends and family contacts.
