Quick Bio

Based in North Atlanta. Shoot weddings and commercial clients as "Work", but mostly people and wacky things for fun. Photography is a hobby, and a passion and only matched or surpassed by love of food and being a father. Used an old A-E1 back in the day, fast foward 8~9 years. Bought a 20d from Canon and never look back. Not only fascinated by the art of photography, but the toys/trinkets/tools/equipment/items that fuel it.

Flickr is mostly to show off work, but also to learn via comments and critiques. Please leave critiques and comments on any photos, obviously keep it decent but no need to candy coat anything. We're all adults.

Photography and Light

Photography in itself is a skill set that takes time to learn, but the underlying beast to tame is Light itself. Photography is the art of capturing the light that's currently in the scene. Saying this I am a photographer, but mainly I am a student and teacher of light and light control. Photography is easier to pick up now with the automatic controls supplied with powerful Digital SLR's currently being released, lighting though is still as complex.

For any photographer looking to bring your work to the next level do a good bit of researching light and how to read it, understand it, and eventually control it.
