30 Countries, 6 Continents, a Few Dollars, No Plan

In 2010, at 53-years, after a career in libraries, I quit my job and left home. I traveled around the world spontaneously, using directions and advice from my readers on my blog as I maneuvered from country to country.

I traveled alone for ten months, with one suitcase and a little money, mostly by land and sea, through 30 countries on six continents, met people along the way, and got into a few jams. My journey highlights some of the usual, touristy points of interest and, more often than not, the exotic, out-of-the-way places I’d never heard of.
