Hi,

I'm a 41 yr old Media Technician who works in Camberley. I regularly attend airshows in the area and take lots of pix. As of June 2006 I gained my Private Pilots Licence and go flying around the UK, often taking photos when I can (or I usually get a passenger to take them!)

I use Apple's Aperture program to store, edit then upload my pix to Flickr. They are usually cropped to fit a widescreen monitor so I can use them as wallpaper. I use a scoring system for each set to sort out the best from the worst. The only scores you will see in the 'tags' will be '4 stars' and higher.

Ratings:
0 - good enough (or important) to keep but not great photos
1 - Good enough for Flickr
2 - Better
3 - Desktop/wallpaper quality
4 - Best of each 'display' (ie, best pic of the Red Arrows)
5 - 'The Pick' - The Best of the whole shoot

My Tags

I try to tag each photo with something relevant so it can be found easily. These tags will include:

Peoples names where known
Places (towns, counties and country)
Airport codes (ie, EGLF for farnborough Airport). Not used for Airshow pix
Aircraft reg and type (ie, G-BPHI PA38 Tomahawk)

The pix taken from the air have GPS data embedded so you can see where they were taken from, and the location tags reflect what they were taken off, as I could be over Farnham and take a picture of the Isle of Wight so the GPS will be overhead Farnham but the tags will say Isle of Wight.
