Meet Trash Detective. Trash Detective is here to to help create waste awareness by tracking down culprits of senseless waste in our communities and documenting the contents of our citizens' trash cans here in the city of L.A. Putting "wasters" and sloppy trash separators into the spotlight to give them a good kick in the pants asking them to clean up their act and reduce their excesses flowing into our already packed landfills before our very eyes. To bring awareness TD will keep a weekly record of contents of chosen trash cans in various locations in the city of L.A. until the responsible parties change their ways for the better. TD will be looking for trash that is: not being separated properly, that is not being recycled, that contains excessive disposables (ie. conventional single use take-out containers), construction and other hazardous waste irresponsibly thrown into the curbside trash cans...and more... Trash Detective will inform the responsible parties of their position in the TD spotlight and will be given solutions to change habits.
