Transport Scotland is the national transport agency for Scotland. Our purpose is to help deliver the Scottish Government's vision for transport.

Our remit covers a range of topics, including rail and trunk road networks, major public transport projects, sustainable transport, road safety and accessibility, bus, freight and taxi policy, ferries, ports and harbours and aviation.

We are also responsible for regulating impartial travel services, coordinating the National Transport Strategy for Scotland, liaising with regional transport partnerships, local roads policy, national concessionary travel schemes and the Blue Badge Scheme.
